History of Jessore sadar upazila

Ratparpa Rath Mahakuma was established in Jessore on 1786 AD. Later it was shifted to Trimohani in Keshabpur upazila. It was transferred to Murali in 1893. 1st February 1984 was created in Sadar upazila.Mr. Sheikh Rabiul Alam, the first elected Chairman and Mr. KK Sarkar, First Executive Officer .

Chavalda Rajbari, Kalimandir, the ruins of the palace of Raja Patal Bedi in Shekhheti (during Pal and Sen period). Bigraha of Bhubaneswar goddess built by Laxman Sen, Imambara built by Haji Mohammad Mohsin in Murali, Garib Shishya Mazhar, Hazrat Borhan Shah Mazhar, Land of Zamindar in Mulli and the Judea Temple built in 1704 and Nilgahan Mahasabashan.
