Sports and entertainment

The playground of the playground is glorious in the upazila. At different times the local players have been successful in national and international level. In 1949, the birth of the district playground and the start of the Shamsul Huda stadium. Former District Administrator Ruhul Kuddus, Shah Akramul Haque, Golam Mustafa, Bazlur Rahman, Tabir Rahman, Alamgir Siddiqui, Shamsul Huda, Sudhir Babu, Satish Dutt, Chittaranjan Saha, Minister Tariqul Islam and Industrialist Ahad Chowdhury played an important role in the preparation and reform of the Zailkira organization stadium. In 1976 the modernization of the stadium was started. In 94-95, VIP Gallery was established by Paribahan Group Dhaka's managing director Mashiur Rahman. Moreover, in Jessore Shamsul Huda Stadium, Jessore's eminent businessman and social worker SM Ahad has an international standard cricket gallery consisting of modern decorated dressing room, press box, commentary box, VIPProfession room, office room and player gallery, in memory of his brother-in-law, Amr Mohammed Ameena Khatun.

 

The stadium is regularly used to play cricket, football, hockey. Apart from this, competitive sports at district level are organized at different times.

 

Entertainment

In Jessore Sadar Upazila, Bidihal and Town Hall grounds are often organized in different educational entertainment programs including Nakat, Song, Jatra, Circus. In addition to the special occasions of the year different fairs are organized. For example: Baishakhi fair, trade fair, book fair, agricultural fair, tree fair etc.
